There are I believe six factories in Russia that produce tractors, and designate them "Belarus." This 70hp tractor you've seen is most likey made by the Minsk Tractor Works in Minsk, Belarus. The Minsk Tractor Works is the largest producer of tractors in the world. The tractors are known for their affordability, and simple design, However they are equiped with some interseting things like a centrifiugal oil filter, coil spring loaded front axel, and an automatic engaging 4-wheel drive and differential lock. Some came equiped with air brakes, and they had there own compressor and tank. The first tractors arrived in the U.S. in the mid 1970's, but they were being imported into Canada before that.
