I agree with most of the following posts.The old style axles are ok.They have beefy spindles and decent bearings.They must have the full backing plate for the brakes,just like you see when you look under your truck.This style will have a replaceable brake shoe [NAPA].Most I have seen are a 2"x12" drum.Tires are available new through some tire dealerships.Expect to pay more than a regular truck-car tire.Tires that came on the axles are poor at best.Will wear quickly.Newer axles are throw-away.The kind with only a bar across the back instead of a full plate,will let gravel etc. in to grind up what there is of the cheesy brakes.Don't even think of using these.Unless they are the old type[prob. made by DEXTER],save your self the headache and buy good ones!
