The 966 first came off the production in 1971 and it run until 1976,from 71 to 73 the had silver colored throttle handle and ta handle and shift levers, from 74 to 76 they had black handles, and in 1976 they had a black hood stripe, and there were no factory turbo on a 966 they were natural aspirated

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
