I don't think just any old flathead V8 Ford engine will work, at least I think the one's that the Funk brothers used was somehow an early one that is somewhat smaller in size than those that you are probably most used to. That might be in the other post that gave you the site, I didn't go in there to check. I've seen one up here at a tractor show that an old fella shoehorned into his little Ford N and he did everything from scratch including his adapter plate, etc.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
