If I understand, you say the electric pump is added because the mechanical pump doesn't supply enough fuel at starting. This tractor will not start in cool temps (40-50 degrees), but I was considering re-ringing the engine. It would start pretty easy in the heat of the summer but would put out blue smoke, smoke and drip oil out the breather. Can these pumps be tested to determine if they are up to par? I wonder if I could have a compression/fuel problem.
