Wow, you weren't kidding about the topic. Good you asked though, shows a lot of maturity for an 18 year old. Four years isn't a lot different from say 28 to 32. It's a bigger difference from 24-28. The younger you get the bigger the difference gets (look at in terms of percentage of life lived). Best advice I can give you is look at 2 years max. I teach high school, see a world of seniors dating freshmen every year. Say you, and her a lot of heart ache and grief, give it a "pass". I'm neither a fuddy duddy or old (in spite of the fact my 17 yr old aide calls me "old" and says all "old people are nerds") I'm all of 34. Just live through this what seems like yesterday to me.
