I think that the AC WD45 deserves at least honorable mention. It was the first to have power adjustable wheels, both front and rear. It also had the most hp in its class. The fiftys were great tractor years with such classics as this, along with the JD A, Farmall M, M-H 30, Ford 8N and others. I saw all these at the county and state fairs. Now the only tractor you see at the fair is the one maintaining the race track or the rodeo arena. Ed (w/greenish colored blood)

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
