By golly I just remembered some more tractors I used. I was working on a construction job in a large meat packing plant in 1979, and one of the machines I used was an Allis Chalmers with a loader. I can't remember the model, but it was about the size of a WD45, and newer. I was using a Case skid steer, I liked the control handles, they were on the ends of the brake levers. I was using some industrial forklifts, too, one was an IH with the 3 cylinder Diesel. No one seemed to know how to use it, especially how to shut off the engine, they were trying to shut off the engine by putting it in high and letting out the clutch. Then I showed them how to lower the lever to the off position, it was a lot easier on the clutch. I worked for a circus once, and they had an industrial tractor with a forklift and a pile driver for driving stakes and pulling stakes on the big top. I can't remember the name, it was a real off brand. I liked the way the pile driver worked, it had something like a motor with a wheel spinning, and someone would pull on the motor bringing the tire against a drive strip, lifting the weight, and they would release the lever before it got to the top, and the weight would drop on the unsuspecting stake and drive it deeper into the ground. sometimes when they were getting behind with pulling stakes to leave town they would use the elephants that were trained for work besides entertainment to pull stakes.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
