They were bought out by Cat, who changed the name to All Parts International, and then closed the Fargo store down, and moved operations to Peoria. Eventually they seemed to give up on the old tractor parts idea, and if you get into the API website now, it jumps you to your nearest Cat dealer. In addition to wanting to sell parts for other brands, Cat also wiped out one of the big sellers of aftermarket undercarraige parts for Cat equipment, and by doing so, forced the public to buy genuine Cat parts. Plus it wiped out the only track press in our area, although the shop had been slowing down for years. Lavoy

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
