Mike, i dont know anything avout your tractor, but i do know wiring. I will send you a couple drawings. If you have a 6 volt generator, then it has a coutout relay, just a two terminal box, that shuts off the generator to battery connection when motor is off. With this you need a current regulator, which a lot of times waas a resistor on the head light switch to cut current output from the generator with the lights off and little power being used.---------If you have a 12 volt generator (could be positive or neagative ground) it will have 3 or 4 terminals on the voltage regulator and will do the current and voltage and cutout functions all in the same box. I have a Allis with a 6 volt positive ground and another Allis with a 12 volt negative ground. Both a generators. I will sen dyou the pictures. If you need an explanation, send me a note.
