A couple winters ago the engine went out on my car, actually it was the day before January 1, 2000, my car wasn't Y2K. Anyway, having more time than money, because I'm disabled, I parked it in my back yard. I measured how much tarp it would take to make a tent around the car, and I called Harbor Freight and ordered a big tarp. In the mean time I built an A frame at each end of the car, and began disconnecting and labeling hoses and wires. when the tarp came I put it over the car, and it came down to the ground around the car, and had a flap that opened and closed at each end. That kept out the wind nice. I didn't heat it because I can't work long enough at a time to heat it up, but it would have been easy to heat it. It made a big difference to be out of the wind. Now, about the next part you are wondering about, yes, I rebuilt the engine in the basement in the family room, just across from an apprehensive wife.
