Well I have no idea the hours, but the things I am about to mention for wear I don't see worn to the extent I saw them worn to in the mid to late 60 on the Allis B and WD-45 we had on the farm where I worked as a kid. On the B the clutch pedal pivot wore out so the pedal, when pushed down could go by it's stop and swing down under and reengage the clutch. Made for a surprize start. First time it happened the tractor went through a gate that was closed. On the 45 the increment marks on the throttle and hydraulic control levers were worn off. I don't see this on many of these tractors now 35 years later. The B was well into it's second or third overhaul, the 45, 10 years old wouldn't get one for a few more years. This was a small but busy farm, put up a lot of hay. Until the 45 was purchased the B did it ALL, including pulling a New Holland 77 baler, believe it or not. It wouldn't have done this without the sickle bar center mount mower mounted and front end weights to keep the front end down. While maintenance on these tractors was at best average, they did get regular and frequent oil changes during the 3 warm seasons.

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
