It is definitely not the parking brake, we never use it. The brakes were checked out by me and then the mechanic from GM, the sensors were also OK so they said. I have a 92 GMC and have never had a lick of trouble other than routine maintainence 2 mufflers and 1 tailpipe 190,000 km, about 125,000 miles. It still has original brakes,rotors drums and shoes!!!! Changed the front pads the glue failed and a pad dropped. Thanks for the info. Paul
