Dave, I agree with those who say you should check the gear ratio. If it is a low number, it will have to work way too hard to pull. It sounds to me like your problem may just be a plugged catalytic converter. That is a very common problem, and it will rob both power and fuel mileage. I don't know where you live, but if you can get by with it legally, you may want to have dual exhaust installed. At the very least, remove the cat. and install a test pipe to see if it makes any difference. If you do this work for yourself instead of taking it to an exhaust shop, you won't run into the legal problems a shop might experience, unless you live in California. Also, Don't forget the basic stuff like a plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. The ignition timing also needs to be checked to be sure everything is where it should be. If any of the basic stuff is off, she won't run right. Good Luck and God Bless, Tommy
