I'd like to post a tip to anyone of you folks that are having trouble with an old tractor overheating. The "Tractor Tip" on this site about overheating reminded me of this. When all else fails and you have tried every standard procedure to solve your boilover problem, knock out the freeze plugs in the side of the block. Wash out real good with a water hose with a 1/4" copper tube connected to the end to "snake out" inside the opening. Then put new plugs in. I have done this a few times in the past and you would be amazed how much crap comes out. The problem was always solved... And a regular "rad. flush" will not help this at all! I did alot of head banging before I figured this out...
