Over here in the UK our diesel can be used year round (I don't know if this is because the fuel companies put additives in the fuel in winter or if the fuel has been developed over the years). I dont know how you would go about finding out if our diesel is available over there. The lowest I've had to cope with is minus 20 degrees C and had no problems starting. 20 odd years ago we used to have to add a small amount of gasoline to stop the diesel waxing but not now. I run a diesel car as well as vintage tractors and don't have any problems. The car I run today has a heat exchanger attached to the bottom of the fuel filter. But the vintage stuff has no such luxuries.
