It's not so much lift height, but lift capacity. Someone else may have the details down better, but for the moment here's my 2 cents worth: I know that the lift arms get heavier, they have different size balls on the end of the lift arms, and the spacing between the mount points on the implement change. ie: if you hooked up a cat 0 blade you would see the lift arms were 20" apart; for a cat 1 blade the arms would be 26" apart; for cat 2, 32", ... That's about as big as I have worked with, but I think they go up to at least cat 3 and 4. Most people don't notice this because the lower lift arms swing side to side and will generally accept a wide range of spacings. I noticed it because I converted an old Farmall 2pnt to 3pnt hitch and it had to have cat 1, 26" spacing or you couldn't mount the implement. In general there is alot of play in what you can mount, just don't mount something built so heavy that it would break your antique tractor before damaging itself if you got it hungup somehow.
