Hey Fred, I believe the 656 would do everything you need to do just fine! yes including loader work. Its more a matter of operator than machine I think. You can snap off spindles, sure, but how was this character operating the tractor when it happened. You have to run low and slow with round bales on front and a bale on the back will help to counter the weight on the front. You can tear up a Sherman tank if drive off a cliff too, its more of an operator practices deal than anything else. Just remember safty, take it easy, and don't try to overload it but always be prepared for that hole that could snap that spindle off, could happen without a loader on it as well.
