If you go with 4'x5' bales instead of the 5'x6' bales, a 60-70HP tractor will easily handle the baler. I don't know what type of hobby farming you are doing. I run a small beef operation and I like the smaller bale better its easier to handle and you can stuff two of them into a round bale feeder.
