I have experience with both. Two friends have 3/4 ton Dodges with the V10, both 4wd. The one put 4 trannys in it and only pulled an antique fire truck a few times a year. I heard the dealer tell him that "These trucks weren't made for pulling heavy loads." Needless to say he fixed it the last time and sold it for a Chevy with the 8.1L gas. It will compete with any V10 too. The other guys Dodge acts funny sometimes, think the tranny is gonna let go soon. Another friend who works for a Ford dealership sold his Ford 3/4 ton V10 because it was a gutless wonder, so he said. He too bought a Chevy but it was a Diesel. I highly recommend the Diesel even though they are more expensive initially. They WILL pay for themselves. Be careful with the Dodge auto trannys, stick with the manuals. The GM's have that rock solid Allison 5sp auto which is a dream. So I suggest either a GM 8.1L gas, 6.6L Diesel or a Ford Diesel. Shane

The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
