MY BROTHER HAS A FORD F-250 WHICH HE USED TO PULL A DOUBLE AXLE LOWBOY TRAILER FROM FAIRBANKS ALASKA LOADED WITH HEAVY EQUIPMENT, IT DID JUST FINE AND NEVER CAUSED A PROBLEM, I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE MILAGE WAS. SINCE YOU WANT THE VEHICLE FOR TOWING I WOULD MAKE A SUGGESTION THAT IF THERE IS ANY WAY POSSIBLE TO GET A DIESEL, THERE BY FAR THE BEST AT TOWING. I USED A DODGE WITH THE CUMMINS DIESEL TO PULL ANHYDROUS AMMONIA TANKS OUT IN THE FIELDS AND IT REALLY GOT DOWN AND PULLED, HAD 4X4 ALSO. IF YOU MUST STAY WITH THE V-10, THEN I WOULD OFFER THIS IDEA, LOOK AT THE TORQUE AND WHAT RPM YOU GET THIS TORQUE AT, ALSO, TAKE A HARD LOOK AT THE GEARING RATIOS, IN BOTH THE TRANSMISSION AND THE DIFFERENTIAL, ALSO, WHAT TYPE OF TERRAIN WILL YOU 80% OF THE TIME BE DRIVING OVER. ONE LAST THOUGHT, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONTACT CONSUMER REPORTS MAGAZINE FOR THEIR INPUT ON WHICH VEHICLE HAS THE BEST RELIABILITY RECORD I THINK THEY HAVE INFOR ON USED VEHICLES AS WELL AS NEW. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
