I would stick with a 3/4 ton American made truck for towing that much weight. If you examine the suspension closer on the Tundra, I think you'll find that it's lighter than the 1/2 ton American trucks. The engine in the Tundra is also under powered for a full size truck which is why the gas milage is so poor when loaded (as mentioned by one of the other posters). Also, if you ever do have problems with your Tundra, you will find parts are very expensive and harder to find used. There is only a small fraction of Tundras on the road compared to Chevy's, Dodges, and Fords.
