I, for one, am one of your "city slickers", although I was raised in the city, my family and heart belong to the farm. I have to agree that many people are too impatient when it comes to farm equipment. One item that I would like to point out, and hope someone hears my words, is that too many farm equipment auto accidents happen, and not to the autos fault. Two accidents come to mind. On the news this fall, was a story about a gentleman driving an 8 wheel tractor (BIG 4wd). Without looking, he turned left into the field. He had missed the fact that he was about to be passed by an 18 wheeler. The big truck tore the tractor litterally in half, and I don't remember how many ppl were hurt in the insodent. Just not paying attention. The second was on my way to xmas one year, I saw where the sh$& really hit the fan......of a ford car. Seems as though a farmer pulling a manure spreader was crossing a divided highway, and didn't think that tractors don't move as fast as cars. You guessed it, the car hit the wagon probably doing about 40 or so by the looks of it. parts of, and from that wagon were strewn 100 yards or so. When out on the road with your equipment, please realize that you are on roads that the main stream traffic moves much faster than you. Many lives a year could be saved if only every one involved would pay closer attention. I'm by no means defending the rude ppl at all, just pointing out that sometimes we take the "watch out for me" type of attitude, and it's not right.
