Might want to check with state attorney general's office or whatever in your state interprets the laws. Some states still have verbal agreement laws.Case in point: A friend of mine had a hard to fine engine for sale.Engine had been fully rebuilt and was ready to install and he had good documents to the work, parts and who did the work. Customer calls and agrees that he will buy at the quoted price but does not make contact for several more months so my friend sells the engine to someone else.About 6 months from the original contact the first customers shows up with money in hand and wants his engine. My friend told him that since he had not heard from him that he sold the engine to another customer. Will see you in court was the customers response. In the end the court ordered my friend to supply the customer with an engine just as the original and at the original agreed upon price.
