If you have a crawler, and two places you own where you need to load it, why not make yourself a loading dock to back the trailer up to and drive right on the trailer without ramps? A few railroad ties, a couple of trucks of crusher run, and voila, loading dock! Properly done, and with the trailer in the right place, it would be much easier to use and safer than ramps. You may want to figure out how far the back of the trailer will go down when you are loading and block it. Dont put so many blocks under it the trailer will be sitting on them when it is loaded, but try to get as high as you can and still be able to pull away with the load.Same deal when you build your ramps. Just my two cents. I've had a scary moment or two loading my old Allis M crawler, and someday I'll have a nice loading dock. Truck
