I didnt know the trans had to be timed? we bought
this tractor with the noise. and thought it was
probably just a bearning out. and the drive shaft
and pinion shaft bearings were worn, I have checked the gears. and the spacers. and all seem
to be correct according to the parts book for tractor.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
