Dealer pricing

I'm a first time tractor buyer and have no experence with tractor dealers. A Case dealer has a 1964 MF135 deluxe, gas, w/1246 hours on it. He is asking $8500 for it. I checked the Machinery Link web site and they list the average Premium condition selling price at $4829 for this year tractor. Are dealers normally this much higher than the listings on Machinery Link and how much can you expect them to come down from their asking price? Thanks for you input.
