Here in VT...When Fish & Game issues a permit for the taking of deer out of season due to crop damage, they MAKE the person taking said deer process the carcass for consumption...Otherwise the farmer is liable for 'Wanton Waste'...some goes to 'food shelf' type facilities and/or is given to F&G...There is a list here that anyone can get on to take fresh road kill or crop damage deer...My Gram used to get a couple three free deer a year... By not allowing the crop damaging deer to be processed and eaten, your state is dishonouring the deer and the farmers who are trying to make a living... This burns me... Salmoneye
