Hi Kelly, I prefer the black angus but herfords are great cattle. My Dad had Horn Herfords when I was at home. But it seems like Angus or Angus and Herford cross bring more money at the sale barn. Not always but they always seem to be close to the top price. In central MO. its 1 cow to 2 arces untill it gets dry. I was always told a half of a square bale in the morning and a half a bale in the evening,but the boss cows always gets more so I feed a little more. I hope you Good Luck.
