A couple of comments... Talk to your local dealer first to see what they have, tell them what tractors you have available and ask what size of snowblower they could handle. We have an 8' wide 3-point snowblower on our IH 1086 (150 PTO horsepower) and it will kill the tractor in 1st reverse in heavy snow. Newer tractors have creeper gears so they don't go so fast in reverse for just that reason. As far as how far the snow is blown, I'd say ours will do a good 25 feet away most of the time and at least 10 to 15 feet high. One thing about snowblowing that I like is that the snow seems to disappear where if you pile it up with a loader it seems to linger into May.
