I am about 30 miles south of you and bought a 74" Bervac 3ph blower from my employer last Saturday AM. My 3 cylinder Ford 4000 will need to have the rear tread moved in to accomodate the blower's width better, but was the biggest unit available, and the biggest I could afford. 74" is ALL that 4000 needs when into the drifts and banks. I always thought low reverse in the 8x2 was too slow, but I found it to be quick enough for the conditions. Not sure the 454 has the snot or the gearing to handle a blower that would cover its track. The 'Bota probably has a shuttle which gives a better range of speeds in Rev. We have recieved 8 blowers at Pine Plains Tractor this week, some are still available. 518-398-7107.
