I bought a Leon blade at the local CaseIH dealer to mount on my 7045 Allis. I had them mount it to the tractor. When I brought my tractor to the shop the mechanics there right away said I might have trouble with such a light front axle and one also said I should put it on my fathers 1086 instead. I ignored what was said partly because the blade was already there with the Allis mounts and I was going to use my tractor not Dad's. They opened the shop door and I drove in next to a 1566 sitting in the shop. When I got out I took a look at the two tractors then called over the mechanic who gave the most guff. That axle on the 1566 paled in comparison the my 7045. To me my whole darn tractor looked better. That was three years ago and a lot of dirt pushing and no problems yet. I wonder if the same could be said if I had it on the 1086?
