The problem, as said below, is Fiat. Fiat's management is some of the worst on the planet. You thought Enron was bad, Fiat is just as bad. Fiat is losing most of the money on its car business, so it should get out of cars, right? Wrong, the family that controls Fiat refuses to get rid of the car division out of ego and pride. Nepotism and the old-boy-system between Fiat and the Italian government are what have ruined Fiat. Things are so bad with Fiat that the Italian banks may take over the company in March. No kidding. As for Case IH/New Holland, it will survive in one way or another, of that I have no doubt. In what form it will survive remains to be seen.
