It fires 1342. With the number one piston coming up on the compression stroke, set the timing mark on the pulley in line with the mark where it is supposed to be timed to. See which post on the distributor cap the rotor is pointing at, that will be number 1. The opposite one is number 4. Depending on the rotation of the rotor the next one will be 3, and the opposite one will be 2. Now plug a spark plug into number 1 wire, and place the steel part of the spark plug against a good ground so you can see a spark. Loosen the distributor. Turn on the ignition. Rotate the distributor so you see a spark on the spark plug. Tighten the distributor. This should be close enough to start the engine and set the timing with a timing light.
