Just a note to tell y'all how we made out on the snowblower search for our little sideplowing biz....We called every local dealer and most wanted over $2000 for any three point snowblower they had in stock. Pine Plains was the most reasonable local dealer( They were under 2000 by a bunch) , but we saved even more money by going to the local Tractor Supply. They had somehow gotten in a 50 inch Beuhl they didn't want and they'd cut us a deal. We got there and discovered it was a 60 inch unit, liked the looks of it, and decided to buy it. Killer price, too! Anyhow it got installed on the Kubota (23pto Hp, 3 cyl 4 by 4 with a bucket)and my buddy attacked the 7 foot banks in front of his place. He had snow going over the power lines, and in a few minutes the banks were GONE! The pto shaft and mounting is such he can go in to the drifts and banks two feet off the ground and then come back at ground level without shaft binding. We did a driveway last night in about an hour that had two feet of packed snow plus drifts, that I had given up on plowing with my truck as it was way too hard to push. ( THis was a driveway that hadn't been cleared out since before Christmas.) After he broke thru the bank I had plowed, the tractor backed right down the hill clearing the drive like nobody's business. Awesome! Anyhow, thank you to all the folks who offerred suggestions and comments! We're happy with what we got and now I'm looking to buy a used unit for my 454 just to have around at my place. I live right next to a major highway and get all the snow from it plus my drive in the banks in front of my house. Everyone I plow on this road has the same problem so I'm sure I'll get to use it some. Truck

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
