Bert I spent 10 years in the Army. I was a light wheel mechanic and a tanker. I was lucky to be stationed in Germany durning Vietnam era. The Army has some great jobs and the training is very good, but remember everyone in the Army is Infantry. So no matter what type of job you have you could fight. One of the best the things was the travel. I would never have seen all the other countries without being on Uncle Sam's ticket. Some of the jobs in the Army can be just like a normal 8 hour day. The there are some that are 14-16 hour days. So find the job that your good at and love to do. I still work for the Army today as a Civilian, and I very proud to support the young men and women the are there today. But one last thought, College and ROTC is another option. All the best on your choice. Sam
