I see so many kids these day graduate from High School or College and very shortly there after get married and settle down. They never have a chance for adventure in their lives. All the adventure I've experienced came from four years in the Army and a little from early years working in construction. When you're 50, a four year enlistment won't seem that long. It doesn't have to be the Army - look at the other services as well, including the Coast Guard (they do a lot of exciting and hard jobs). If you don't want to be under arms, look a some jobs with a dose of travel and adventure - Merchant Marine; offshore oil rigs; speciality construction and the like. You can make some quick bucks in some of these as well. If you want the military and have the smarts for college, join the National Guard to get a tuition break at a state university, take ROTC and serve as an officer after graduation.
