Hi, I spent 20 years in the Air force and would not trade the experience. But, It took me one year to start making more money than I did in the Air Force. If that is not an issue, the travel is fantastic, but you have to volunteer for it as they now leave alot of people set in one place for a long time. The retirement system has changed and you would certainly need to consider that if you are considering a possible career. What service to go into? I don't have an answer. I had one son in the Army and one in the Navy. The Navy guy was on a new ship and had 3 meals a day with ice cream. ha ha. Good luck on your decision.
