What model tractor is it? Are you sure Deere didn't make a ROPS for it? In later years, they came out with ROPS to fit tractors that didn't come with them when new. Call a Deere dealer and check. Deere used to have a program to sell neew ROPS for what it cost them to make them. This was a safety program they had. Also check around to see if you can find a company that sells them. I have seen them made by other companys. In fact I have installed them. You may also call a salvage yard. I once found a ROPS from a M.F. that fit a 4010 very well. This is way to important an issue to try and make something to get by with. If you MUST make one, use squarins tubes, thats what they are made of if not solid. Most of the Deere ROPS on the big tractors are solid and the smaller tractors are hollow.
