Not a trailer but I have the Stemco oil bath hubs on the steer axle of my motorhome (10Klb axle) and I have had no problems with leakage. I like the Stemco oil bath hubs because I can stick a small magnet into the hub reservior and check for filings. I detected a bearing starting to fail at 100K miles by this method while doing routine service. I doubt if failure would have been detected had I been running grease. (Who knows, maybe the bearing would not have failed either)I run synthetic oil in the hubs. ray
