In my opinion the Deutz Tractors have proven themselves many times. I have not owned one but know several who have and I know of a couple of tractors that have Deutz engines and have been around construction equipment with deutz engines. From my limited knowledge and experience Deutz can hold it own and then some. I have two AC tractors one is a 51 WD it is American made and a very good tractor. I own a 170 AC diesel It is a very good tractor. However I understand the Perkins engine is not American madeforiegn made does not always mean junk and problems. I just wish the American spirit that built AC John Deere Ford IH and many other good tractors exited today. Maybe this will help explain why someone would choose to purchase a foriegn made tractor. Other than the fact as mentioned already where is an American made tractor today?
