Go for it. I'd suggest the USMC, thats what I did. Why? You go to Navy + Marine Corps schools, the best there are, but mostly because then you can say " I'm a Marine". Call it brain washing or pride or arrogance, but it's just a little bit different than saying I'm Army/Navy/Air Force. My 2nd choice would be the Coast Guard- Those Coasties were tough enough to go out in water I'd never look at going out in. As far as the dying thing- The 1st time I realized I could be dead real quick, the pucker factor got real high, Yup- scared, scared, scared. But I worked through it and I didn't fail my Corps, my buds, or myself. You aren't going to be challenged like that sitting in a cubicle in an insurance agency someplace in hometown USA. Your chances of seeing action are tiny. It take 10-15 Marines to support one grunt on the front. As far as the upcoming "war"- first off, it ain't happened, 2nd- we've got real leaders running things, and 3rd- I spent from 9/12/01 through 3/18/02 more in NYC backing up the NYPD. My first few days were spent at the mourge as security, (I'm a Cop). If we had been able to pre-empt the attacks we suffered, then I wouldn't have been looking at pieces of men, women and kids who their lives brutally ripped away by men who are little more than animals. THATS WHY WE SERVE. Semper Fi.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
