Last spring I found that Champions made for older tractors have a built in extra spark gap to get them a higher firing voltage for firing plugs in oil burning engines. My tractor doesn't burn oil so I don't like them. There are also adapters that move the plugs further from the combustion chamber so they don't get splashed with oil as easily. Gerald
