Howdy all, Best trip I had was one that only took about 45 minutes to get to. Went about 30 miles west of home to pick up my 51 JD R. Then the fun part came when I brought her home. Don't have a truck or trailer sturdy enough to haul it so I rode out with dad and then drove the tractor home myself. Talk about an enjoyable way to see the countryside. It was wonderful. It took about 2-2.5 hours to make it home in 5th gear. Probably running 15mph or so. I loved the looks I got when I hit my hometown and drove the old girl right down mainstreet. Sure was fun. The wife of the fella I purchased it from laughed when she found out that I was driving it home. Well, I made it home and so did the old girl. Not much to laugh about. God bless. --old fashioned farmer
