I use a Kero torpedo. Stinks a bit but not too bad. Any type of flame based heat will have fire danger involved if you are working with open solvents, gasoline, or flamable paints. Even running an electric drill in your garage with a high enough concentration of combustible fumes/gasses can have disastrous results. VENTILLATE if using flamable stuff. Well enough rambling.... The safest way to go on the heat would be some form of hot water heat, with a sealed electric boiler. I have heard that the hotwater tubes in the concrete floor work very well for garages/workshops. I believe it is called hydrollic heat or something like that. I have heard it is pretty efficient, but not cheap to set up. Another possibility is one of the high efficiency gas furnaces with the sealed combustion chamber. They suck in their combustion air thru a tube from outside and exhaust their combustion by products thru a PVC exhaust. They would have no flame in contact with the garage air. A heat pump type of arrangement would also be a possible solution. You can get them that fit thru the wall like a window air conditioner. Again no flame in the workspace. Most of us tempt fate a lot in our workshops with the heat/flamables combination. Just call me lucky so far. Be safe.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
