my dad woulnt let us put a woodstove in the garage either. we got a used forced air wood stove and put it in a lean to behind the garage. we havnt got a return duct plumbed up yet, but unless the air the stove is sucking in is below 20 degrees we can keep it 60 or so in there pretty easy.
