That's a real good way to break your wrist Dennis.

If the engine kicks back, spinning the opposite direction, it's going to snap that ratchet back, breaking your wrist.

If it starts, you've got a darn good chance of having the ratchet yanked out of your hand and coming around smacking you in the back of the hand or wrist.

A ratchet wrench mechanism isn't adequate to the job. Especially a cheap one.
