Put a heater in the lower radiator hose on a small diesil I used daily a few years ago. Cost about 20 bucks at the local automotive store, Put a 8.00 dollar timer on it to run about a hour before I figured on using it the day before. It never let me down and would always start even a t -20 degrees. Replaced that tractor with a kubota with a pre heater a few years ago, it start this morn at 18 below with no problem. Although I still have to preheat at 40 above?? My $.02 worth.
