I carefully went around the wheel using 5 to 6 inch lengths of the wide duck tape. Putting the tape on the tire and only leaving the rim exposed. Then using plastic trash bags, I wrapped the trash bags around the tire and used duck tape, to tape the trash bag to the excisting duck tape on the tire. Then you can use a regular paint gun to do the painting and not worry about overspray. Paint the rims first and you don't have to worry obout the overspray getting on the tractor becuase you can simply paint over the overspray on the tractor when you paint it. With larger trash bags you can go around the rim and tire and what not depending on what is suppose to be what color. I used alot of duck tape when I done this and had no paint on tire when I was done. In my case, just the rim was a different color and I done the rims first, then protected them with the bags and tape to paint the tractor. It really worked well and the only trouble I had, was a little glue from the tape stuck when I pulled the tape off. You might test out a few tapes beforehand to see which one leaves the less glue when tape is removed.
