We basically have an area that's rectangular in shape--make it what ever you want. We have a start and finish line spray painted in the grass--a length of rope would work also. Along the sides we use those small survey flags spaced out to mark the outofbounds line. We have a 55 gallon barrel that is shaped like a circus barrel or keg of beer. We put barrel on starting line and let the tractor get his wheels or wheel up against it. Then we count down fron 3 and say go--start the stop watch. Driver must push barrel down to the other end and ACROSS line--when the Barrel rolls across the line driver must then quickly reverse coarse and push barrel back to starting line which is then the finish line. Once barrel crosses line -- stop the clock. If the barrel and NOT the tractor goes outofbounds alomg the side he is disqualified. If a person is skilled enough you can push it in rode gear--fastest time we have had is around 30 seconds--if you are not skilled it may take a couple of minutes. If you can't understand this or have more ?'s feel free to write.
